This book project is a part of the course in typography.
The purpose with the assignment is to combine different textures and shapes together with typography, likewise to create a design that works for severals book covers.
This assignment aimed to create three book covers and inlay pages for a fictional collection by the Swedish author Harry Martinson. The collection is a new edition of his earlier works, a collection that you would like to have in a priority place in the book shelf.
To design a book where det classic is balancing with the modern, I have used typography to portray a classic poetry setting. This in contrast to the modern shapes and layout.
The typography is designed with one classic font, Minion Pro, while the name Harry Martinson stands for itself with his own signatur in foliating silver.
